The South West Primary Care Academy would like to invite FCPs to attend a virtual educational session to discuss an “Introduction to Pharmacology” which is being held on Tuesday 1st August 2023 12:00-15:00.
Introduction to Pharmacology
This workshop covers the basic concepts of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, relevant law, prescribing resources and practical tips. At the end of the workshop, you will have an understanding of the basics of pharmacology, the legalities of prescribing in primary care and knowing where to go to find information and guidance.
Led by Matt Dixon, a Paramedic by background working for the last 5 years in general practice in Bristol as an ACP, before that having been a Specialist Paramedic for the ambulance service. Matt has interests in prescribing practice amongst Paramedics and pharmacology, having written several articles on Paramedic prescribing, whilst also contributing towards a prescribing textbook.
