Fellows Event: Population health, health inequalities and “deep end” practice

  • This event has passed.

30th January 2024 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The Primary Care Academy (South West) would like to invite you to attend  “Population health, health inequalities and “deep end” practiceeducational session.

Led by Dr Richard Ayres, GP, Associate Professor, Lead for Population Health, Lead for Clinical Science, Peninsula Medical School,  and Dr Daniel Korn, GP, GP Education Lead, GP Health Inequalities Lead, NHSE South West Associate Lecturer, Peninsula Medical School.  This interactive session will introduce you to new ways of dealing with population health, health inequalities and “deep end” practice while working with complex needs groups.

Drawing upon the inverse care law principle that the availability of good medical or social care tends to vary inversely with the need of the population, the discussion will touch on how to improve population health through primary care.

In terms of preparation, we would like attendees to have identified, “What health inequalities issues do you face in your practice”?

We would like to encourage participants to be in a quiet environment where they can engage, interact and talk to others with their camera on.

Questions about the event or the Primary Care Academy should be sent to: PrimaryCareAcademy.SW@hee.nhs.uk
