The Primary Care Academy (South West) would like to invite you to attend the virtual ‘Multi-Professional Modular Supervisor Course (MMSC) Module 1 which is being held on:
Wednesday 19th March 2025 from 09.30-13.00
The MMSC is a modular course designed to give you the training you need to supervise a range of professionals in your practice.
- It is designed to enable a range of primary care health professionals to become supervisors
- Generic modules 1&2 provide the grounding you need to supervise all learners.
- The subsequent modules give you specific knowledge to support the professional groups you need to supervise. There is no need to repeat the generic modules once completed.
- Each module is delivered in small groups by experienced multi-professional educators
- It is supported by practical on-line resources.

- Difference between educational and clinical supervision
- Balancing education and service delivery
- Roles of a supervisor including support, challenge and facilitating experiential learning
- Variety of learning opportunities available/ learning culture
- Neurodiversity/ individualised learning/ differential attainment
- Setting SMART learning objectives
- Educational theory and learner centred supervision.
- Using varied educational methods: prepare a teaching session – deliver as homework
- Evaluation
- Feedback techniques
