The Primary Care Academy (South West) would like to invite you to attend the virtual ‘Multi-Professional Modular Supervisor Course (MMSC) Module 2 which is being held on:

Thursday 20th March 2025 from 09.30-13.00

The MMSC is a modular course designed to give you the training you need to supervise a range of professionals in your practice.

  • It is designed to enable a range of primary care health professionals to become supervisors
  • Generic modules 1&2 provide the grounding you need to supervise all learners.
  • The subsequent modules give you specific knowledge to support the professional groups you need to supervise. There is no need to repeat the generic modules once completed.
  • Each module is delivered in small groups by experienced multi-professional educators
  • It is supported by practical on-line resources.

Learning Outcomes: Module 2

  • Mainly focused on helping learners develop their consultations and introduce case-based discussion as a learning and assessment tool
  • Difference between 1’ and 2’ care consultations
  • Tools for use in teaching consultations Introduction to use of assessments as teaching and benchmarking tools
  • Assessing capabilities
  • Doing a COT and a CBD. Giving feedback
  • Learners experiencing difficulties
  • Supervisor wellbeing
